Final Project

I work in Distance Education (now known as e-Learning) and I schedule broadcasted (or IVC) events (dissertations, faculty meetings…etc) along with several other IVC (interactive video conference) schedulers across the state. I created a blog post (if I implement this in my job, I would create a separate Blog) that I could share with them to showcase how we should all be scheduling (so that we can all be on the same page) as well as to offer a place where we could communicate together and be a better team as a whole.

As IVC schedulers, it is our job to be well organized in order to maintain our IVC meetings and events. It is vital that you keep an up to date record and schedule of IVC meetings you build.
The main duties of an IVC scheduler are:
1.       Gather information from contacts that pertain to future IVC meetings. Know the names of the participants and know where they will be attending the meeting.
2.       Keep a Google Excel spreadsheet containing all the IVC meetings (time, date, sites, title, and additional notes).
3.       Build graphs showcasing how many IVC meetings are being held each month.

The purpose of this blog is so that all IVC schedulers can write and comment on issues that come up throughout the semester or if someone has an idea they would like to share.

Please take the Google Survey so that I can gather information about how you like to schedule and also so that we can have a more unified way of scheduling across the state.
